Alne Bank Private

Alne Bank is a historic property west of Gerringong. It was granted to Michael Hindmarsh, one of the early Kiama district pioneers, in 1827 and has has been in the Hindmarsh family ever since. The current occupant is Michael Hindmarsh 3rd.
Among its many features, Alne Bank includes the <a href="www.nationalregisterofbigtrees.com.au/tree_trivia_details.pdf">largest</a> Norfolk Island Pine on Mainland Australia.
The cemetery sits on a hill overlooking the majestic Alne Bank homestead. It is surrounded by an impressive stone wall and contains the graves of Michael Hindmarsh and six other members of his family.
