The Maitland Daily Mercury (NSW : 1894 - 1939) 19 June 1896 :PATERSON. :We have Iost a very old and highly-esteemed resident in the death of Mr. Gilbert Cory, of Neyarra, Vacy, who passed away early on Wednesday morning at the ripe old age of 84 years, after a very gradual failure of bodily strength and powers. :The funeral will take place at the homestead Neyarra at two o'clock on Friday afternoon, when a large circle of relatives and friends will be present to see the warm hearted father and genial friend of so many years, laid to rest in tne precincts of his much loved home, situated so beautifully on the banks of the Paterson River.
