and on Sunday the funeral of the late Mr John Woolnough took place at the Presbyterian Church. The remains were followed to their last resting place by over 200 friends and residents, including a number from Bishopsbourne and the Oaks. The Rev. J. Russell in his address, impressed on all present the momentous meaning of the words " Be ye also ready." The coffin was covered with some beautiful wreaths, which were sent in memory of the departed. His death will be a loss to the district, as he was always willing to give a helping hand to those in need and general good advice. His death has caused a vacancy in the road trust, of which he was a trustee. He was always present at the meetings, and took a deep interest in the welfare of the district until he was compelled by sickness to stay at home. - (from the Daily Telegraph (Launceston, Tas. : 1883 - 1928) of Wednesday 17 August 1892, Page 4.
