FROM our Deloraine correspondent we learn that a sudden death occurred yesterday at the Deloraine railway station. It appears that Mr. J. Allomes, inspector of the permanent way between Formby and Deloraine, came from Latrobe to Chudleigh by the morning train and then proceeded along the line on a tricycle. On his arrival at Deloraine he sat down outside the station, and after a few minutes fell on to the platform. A medical man was at once sent for, but on his arrival life was found to be extinct. Heart disease is said to be the cause of death. Deceased, who was about 43 years of age, leaves a widow and eight children. He was well known at Deloraine and elsewhere, having been in the employ of the railway depart-ment for many years. An inquest will be held at the Bush Hotel, Deloraine, this morning.
