A very old and respected resident of Wilton, in the person of Mr. Edward Wonson (82), retired farmer, died suddenly at his residence last Saturday. Born in the house in which he died, the late Mr. Wonson was an alderman for nine years in the former Municipality of Picton. His main pursuit being farming, he lived a quiet life, enjoying good health. His wife predeceased him by 12 years. He leaves two sons, Alfred and Oscar (Picton) and a daughter, Stella (Mrs. Grant). The eldest and third sons Edward and Archibald, predeceased him some years ago. Rev. F. A. S. Shaw read the burial service which took place in the Wilton cemetery, Monday.
