Narrabri Lawn
Kamilaroi Highway
Narrabri Lawn Cemetery was established c. 1984. It comprises five portions (A1-A5) as well as a children's section and a memorial wall. A memorial garden was added in 2010. Our contributor says that "Council do a great job in maintaining the cemetery. The grass is regularly mowed and watered, the grounds kept tidy and the headstones maintained. There are also good facilities such as rubbish bins, a toilet block and a flag pole."
The cemetery was photographed in its entirety during latter half of 2012 and first half of 2013, the list being complete as at 5 June 2013. The list of inscriptions for this cemetery was compiled from the images and with reference to the NSW online indices of births, deaths and marriages, the Australian War Memorial online military rolls and from death notices published in Narrabri's North Western Courier.
From Narrabri CBD, take the Newell Highway south for 3.5km and turn left onto the Kamilaroi Highway for 1.5km. The cemetery is on the left hand side of the road. Lat -30.359527, Long 149.765793
