Collector Catholic Cemetery dates from the mid-19th century, the earliest inscription extant being that of Patrick Reardon in 1852. The cemetery is well fenced and maintained in excellent condition. The monuments are mostly upright, in good condition for age and legible.
Jane Ison has contributed digital images of all of the inscriptions that she took in July 2012. Jane says that "The early grave markers were made of stone carved with the initials of the deceased. These were not photographed if there was a corresponding headstone."
Jane's pictures may be downloaded from the list of inscriptions for this cemetery.. That list was compiled with reference to the NSW indices of births, deaths and marriages and to the Australian War Memorial online military rolls for additional information.
The Catholic cemetery adjoins the Anglican cemetery in Bourke Street. It is 1.3km south west of town via Church Street, Lorn Street and then right into Bourke Street for 300m. Lat -34.91525, Long 149.430238
