Southport Lawn Cemetery
THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. Details of inscriptions and the digital images are being uploaded progressively as each batch is listed, checked and researched.
Southport Lawn Cemetery was established circa 1970 and includes a large lawn area plus gardens and columbarium walls for the placement of ashes. The site is maintained in excellent order by Gold Coast City Council.
Carol Parra has contributed her pictures of inscriptions, commencing with the gardens and columbarium walls. It is hoped that the work will be completed in due course. Carol's images may be downloaded from the list of inscriptions for this cemetery. The list was compiled with reference to the Queensland index of marriages and to the Australian War Memorial online military rols for additional information.
