Blackville Anglican

Bartons Lane

A tiny rural cemetery that serviced the town of Blackville, about 40km WSW of Quirindi. Despite no longer being in use, the cemetery is exceptionally well kept, and the grounds are tidily maintained. There are only a few headstones, the oldest dating from 1882 but most being around the late 1800's through to the early 1900s. There are also some markers and fenced plots with no name attached, and there are known to be several unmarked graves within the cemetery. The cemetery was visited and photographed by Geordie Clark and Grace Turner in April 2022.

Follow Bundella Road from Quirindi for 38km. Turn left at Dimby Lane, and travel for 10km until reaching Blackville. Turn right on to Bartons Lane, and the cemetery is slightly up the road on the left.
