Barry Kneen has contributed his images of monuments in the Kunopia Station Cemetery, which he visited in April 2009. Barry writes: "It is a fairly isolated but quite beautiful spot, lots of old trees and overlooking pretty water-holes in the creek. I understand it was the original location of Kunopia Station which was a small township before the establishment of Boomi, where an artesian bore was put down. The original station was broken-up after WW1, however Kunopia still exists although it is (now) much smaller."
The cemetery is enclosed by a substantial steel post, rail and mesh fence that affords it full protection from stock. Barry found five inscriptions and there are two other unmarked graves.
His images may be viewed from the list of inscriptions for this cemetery. That list was compiled with reference to the NSW and Queensland indices of births, deaths and marriages for additional information
From Boomi, head north on the Garrah-Boonangar Road for 3.7km. Instead of following the road as it bends left, continue straight ahead on the rough dirt track beside a boundary fence for about 1km. The small cemetery will be seen to the right near the bank of the Boomi River. Lat -28.675935 Long 149.587584
