Red Range Cemetery contains inscriptions dating from 1890. Except for a couple of fallen and broken stones, the monuments are generally in good condition. However, lichen growth on a number of them makes deciphering the inscriptions difficult or impossible.
Joe Sharman visited the site in December 2009 and made digital images of all visible inscriptions. The list of inscriptions for this cemetery has been compiled from those images and notes and with reference to the NSW indices of births, deaths and marriages and to the Australian War Memorial military rolls for additional information.
Red Range is a village 20km east of Glen Innes. From the village, drive west on Victoria St (Red Range Road) for 2km and turn right (north) into Lil Vale Road, from where it is 0.8 km to the cemetery.
Red Range Cemetery is administered by Glen Innes Severn Council. For further information, contact Council at PO Box 61, Glen Innes NSW 2370; phone 02 6730 2300; email: council@gisc.nsw.gov.au
