Smithfield Uniting Church
711 The Horsley Drive,
Smithfield Uniting Church Cemetery was originally a Methodist cemetery that contains inscriptions dating from 1861. The original church building has long been demolished, the church meeting in what was probably once the church hall. The cemetery is tucked away at the side and rear of that building and not readily seen from the street. The grounds are maintained in good condition.
Ruth King has contributed the digital images of all visible inscriptions she made when she visited the site during September 2009. The list of inscriptions was compiled with reference to the NSW indices of births, deaths and marriages and to the Australian War Memorial online military rolls for additional information.
The cemetery is located on the northern side of The Horsley Drive between Justin and O'Connell Streets.
Smithfield Uniting Church is a congregation in the Parramatta Nepean Presbytery of the Uniting Church in Australia. For further information, phone 02 9729 0868.
