THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. Images and inscriptions are being uploaded incrementally as each section is completed, checked and researched.

Point Clare Cemetery is a large regional cemetery serving the Gosford district on the Central Coast of NSW and was under the management of Gosford City Council (now Central Coast Council) since 1968 until more recent years. It is currently operated by Personal Services Australia. Records of burials prior to 1968 may be incomplete.

The cemetery comprises a monumental area divided into denominational portions and a modern lawn cemetery with memorial gardens for the placement of ashes. The monumental cemetery is closed, except for those holding pre-arranged rights of burial. The grounds are maintained in excellent condition by PSA, all portions are clearly marked and amenities are provided on site. A large location map at the cemetery entrance graphically illustrates the cemetery layout.

The photographing and listing of inscriptions has been undertaken by Warren and Sue Dibley. At this stage, they have completed the General Lawn Cemetery and the Anglican monumental portion. Other monumental portions should follow in due course. Warren and Sue's images may be downloaded from the list of inscriptions for this cemetery. That list is being compiled by Warren and Sue from their images and notes and with reference to the NSW births, deaths and marriages indices and also the Australian War Memorial online military rolls for additional information.

Coolarn Ave runs off Brisbane Water Drive 1.0km south of the Old Pacific Highway at West Gosford.

Point Clare Cemetery is managed by Dale & Kirsty Neale of Personal Services Australia. For further information, call 0488 555 868, write to P.O.
