Monteagle Cemetery is divided into Anglican, Catholic and Wesleyan (Methodist) portions. It contains inscriptions dating from 1904 to the present day. Ann Gardner visited the site in September and made digital images of all visible inscriptions. She records that portions and some of the rows are marked but there are no plot numbers.
The monuments are generally in good condition and legible with no broken stones. Ann says that the cemetery has mowed paths through a preserved grassland conservation site and is in a lovely quiet area.
Ann's images may be downloaded from the list of inscriptions for this cemetery. That list was compiled from her pictures and notes and with reference to the NSW indices of births, deaths and marriages and to the Australian War Memorial online military rolls for additional information.
From Young, head north on the Olympic Highway for 2km and turn left onto Monteagle Road. Sads Lane is 6km from the highway.
