Ravenshoe Cemetery, on the Atherton Tablelands, contains inscriptions dating from the late 1920s. A feature of the cemetery is the large proportion of temporary markers, some of which provide no more information than a name. Perhaps an attempt was made at some stage to mark previously unmarked graves. The cemetery site was in tidy condition and benefits from an annual cleanup organised and conducted by the Townsville & District Four Wheel Drive Club in association with the Shire Council.
Peter Patterson-Kane has contributed digital images he made of every visible inscription during July/August 2009. Peter's pictures may be downloaded from the list of inscriptions for this cemetery. That list was compiled with reference to the Queensland indices of births, deaths and marriages and to the Australian War Memorial online military rolls for additional information.
