Bulahdelah Cemetery is a general cemetery dating from the 1870s, although two earlier inscriptions were found. In more recent times, a columbarium has been added and, about 1999, a lawn section was commenced. It is located on a generous site, just north of the town, with room for development as necessary. All the portions are clearly marked but the row numbers are not indicated.

Paul Fitzgerald visited Bulahdelah Cemetery in February 2009 and made digital images of every visible inscription. He says that the cemetery was in good order, although the grass was due to be mown and there was a problem with weeds around the graves and headstones in the monumental areas that needed to be addressed. A gazebo with seating has been installed and further facilities are planned for the site.

Paul's images may be downloaded from the list of inscriptions for this cemetery. He compiled that list from his images and with reference to the NSW indices of births, deaths and marriages and to the Australian War Memorial online military rolls for additional information.

From the Pacific Highway at Bulahdelah, head north along Stroud Street for 1.3km and then slightly left into Markwell Road. Red Gum Road is the first on the right and the cemetery entrance is on the left hand (northern) side of the road.

Bulahdelah Cemetery is administered by the Great Lakes Council. For further information, contact Council at PO Box 450, Forster NSW 2428; phone: 02 6591 7222; email: council@greatlakes.nsw.gov.au
