Paul Fitzgerald visited Tinonee Cemetery in October 2008 and made digital images of every visible inscription. He said that the site was in need of mowing at the time but was otherwise in good order. The headstones are mostly erect and intact and, apart from some staining and lichen, are easily legible.

The cemetery is divided into portions for Anglican, Catholic, General, Methodist, Presbyterian and Uniting Church. The monumental inscriptions date from 1875 to the present day. A small columbarium has been recently added but there are as yet few plaques on it.

Paul's images may be downloaded from the list of inscriptions for this cemetery. He prepared that list with reference to his images and also to the NSW BDM indices and Australian War Memorial online rolls for additional information.

Tinonee Cemetery is 1km west of the village, on the northern side of The Bucketts Way.

Tinonee General Cemetery is administered by the Greater Taree City Council. For further information, contact Council at PO Box 482, Taree NSW 2430; phone: 02 6592 5399; email: gtaree@gtcc.nsw.gov.au
