This is a small cemetery in the Murray Mallee region. There are a few unmarked graves that have been overgrown with small bushes.
Sherlock is a small town along the Mallee Highway and railway line through to Pinnaroo.
The reserve for the cemetery was reserved in 1907 nla.gov.au/nla.news-article77558013.
The council maintains a dirt track to provide access to 2WD vehicles in most conditions. While there is no vandalism, no regular maintanence appears to have occured. The gates are rusted and posts need replacement, but the grounds aren't over grown with grass or weeds.
The cemetery is surrounded by scrubland, and fenced with rabbit netting and single strand wire. A few trees have grown in places and there are quite a number of ant holes dotted through the ground.
In March 2020, the unmarked graves thanks to the burial register of Coorong Council now have a basic marker of name and burial.
