Cooke Plains Bedford
Cooke Plains Rd
The Council website does not list any burials. There is a plaque listing the 14 known to be buried at the site. The cemetery was proclaimed in 1879 with the first burial in 1903 and the last 1953.
The cemetery does not appear to have any ongoing maintenance, however there are gates to the adjacent paddocks so on occasion stock may be let into the area to keep the grass down. There are a few rabbit holes dotted around marked by pink tape. No signs of vandalism however there is a cross monument that has been snapped and now propped against the remainder.
The cemetery is 4km the south-west of Cooke Plains. Cross over the railway line on Darwin road, and turn right on at the T junction towards Malinong. There is a blue sign post on the side of the road.
