Stanthorpe Cemetery is located in Rich St approx. 3km west of the CBD.
The cemetery is predominately monumental but includes a lawn area, 2 small columbaria as well as a small number of above ground vaults. All are in very good condition with most inscriptions clearly legible. The monumental areas appear to be non denominational with portions identified as "Section 1" etc.
The grounds which include toilets, some seating and shelters are maintained in excellent condition.
Various contributors provided details and images for the first 75 individuals listed (date unknown). Ray Cork visited the site in May & June 2019 and Aug 2022 and made digital images of all visible inscriptions with the exception of those in Sections 8 & 9 which still have to photographed. These images are currently being transcribed and uploaded to the database (Sections 1, 2, 3 4, 5, 6, Section 12 Vault & Crypts, Columbarium, 4 Seasons Garden complete) - Lawn Section & Section 7 in progress.
