Hughenden Cemetery comprises mainly monumental area with a new lawn cemetery and a columbarium. Inscriptions recorded date from 1875. . Most of the monuments are in good order but there are quite a few that have fallen and many unmarked graves. There are guided tours between May and September. There is also a self guided tour around 24 selected headstones. Hughenden is in Central Western Queensland and is part of Australia's Dinosaur Trail, along with Winton and Richmond.
Very well maintained by council. No signs of neglect or vandalism.
Head West along Flinders Highway towards Julia Creek for 3 Klms. Cemetery is on left side of Highway.
