Formerly known as the Glenridding Presbyterian Cemetery, the Uniting Church Cemetery at Glenridding, Singleton is classified under the Singleton Local Environmental Plan as an item of regional significance. Unfortunately, this has not succeeded in preserving it entirely from acts of vandalism. Many of the old monuments have fallen or been pushed and now lie on the ground - some still intact and some broken.

The earliest legible inscription found was dated 1843. Naturally, the older inscriptions are very weathered, especially those on horizontal stones and so very difficult to read with great accuracy. Some of the engravings are particularly beautiful and demonstrate the artistic excellence of the 19th century stone masons of this region.

The inscriptions were digitally imaged by Robert Tozer in October 2001 and the list compiled by Roma Waldron from those images in September 2006. In compiling the list, extensive reference was made to the NSW indexes of births, deaths and marriages and to World War 1 military records for additional information and to determine many now difficult to read names and dates. Images may be viewed and downloaded from the list of inscriptions for this cemetery.
