The cemetery sits on a sloping block overlooking the Pacific Hwy.
Most of the headstones are in good condition. Unfortunately, there are a number that are broken and on the ground and quite a few that are unreadable.
The oldest legible headstone dates from 1865. The most recent is dated 2009.
The cemetery is not in the best condition. Most of the headstones are accessible and well over half the cemetery is maintained, but the other half is under Bracken fern and Lantana. It appears as though there are at least 10 - 20 graves within this area that could not be accessed. These will need to be added once they are made accessible
Photographed and transcribed by Garry Ellis in Sept 2014.
Additional information May 2022: Church volunteers have gone in and done a huge amount of work clearing the overgrown. section of the cemetery. Most if not all of it is now accessible, though only from Lisarow Street now. The heaped up pile of headstones is no longer there. As the cemetery is heritage listed, it is probable that these have either been placed back where they below or elsewhere for safe keeping until the work on the Pacific Highway is complete. Central Coast Family History Society in East Gosford have a recent map of the cemetery showing the Plot locations, which was done by a neighbour of the cemetery. It makes it much easier to locate the graves, especially the many unmarked graves.
Off the M1 Motorway heading towards Gosford, 12 kms on the right hand side.
Easiest entry as of May 2022 is from Lisarow St.
