The original list for Bendemeer General Cemetery was supplied by Roma Waldron who prepared it in 1982. In November 2007, Denis Woolaston visited and photographed all the inscriptions. He found all but one of the stones and markers still in existence for those that Roma listed 25 years earlier.
The cemetery is divided into portions that are each marked but there are no row markers. The earliest inscription found was dated 1873. The grounds were in good condition but due to be mown.
Denis' images may be downloaded from the list of inscriptions for this cemetery. The updated list was compiled with reference to the NSW BDM indexes and military records for additional information.
