The Miller family were a pioneering family who owned a large parcel of land near what is now the NW tip of Gerringong. The original homestead is believed to have been in the vicinity of the current Hotel Mercure Gerringong Resort. Their descendants still live in the district.
William Ernest Miller and his wife Muriel (Nisbet), who married on 9 Sep 1903, had 6 children, three of whom died as infants and were buried on the property.
One, a girl, died at around 10 weeks of age. The other two were stillborn or died shortly after birth. Their graves are on land that is now part of the Roselea vineyard. The graves are unmarked.
Initial information about the burials was provided by Michael Hindmarsh 3rd of the nearby Alne Bank property and confirmed by Ronald Miller, nephew of the deceased.
