Robert Curran

A convict (Prince Regent, 1828) who gained his Certificate of Freedom in 1834. His convict master was Richard Fitzgerald who owned Crowie station near Deridgeree. In 1836 Clayton gave evidence in the trial of Alexander Lambert for the murder of Corporal James Hardman of the Mounted Police at "Flatlands", the station of James Vincent at Dabee near Rylstone. Vincent was the father-in-law of John Nevell, the third proprietor of Deridgeree station.
