Nambucca Heads
Nambucca Heads Cemetery occupies an undulating site not far from the ocean and dates from around the turn of the 20th century. It incorporates various denominational portions in the monumental area and extensive columbaria each side of the entrance. The grounds are maintained in good order by Nambucca Valley Council, but there are no amenities on site.
Sandra Cockbain has contributed the images she made of every visible inscription when she visited the cemetery at the end of March 2011. Her images show that the monuments are generally in good condition and legible. The inscription list was compiled with reference to the NSW indices of births deaths and marriages and to the Australian War Memorial online military rolls for additional information.
Nambucca Heads Cemetery is 1.6km north-east of town, via Lee, Short and Charlton Streets.
Nambucca Heads Cemetery is administered by Nambucca Valley Council. For further information, contact Council at PO Box 177, Macksville NSW 2447; phone 02 6568 2555; email: council@nambucca.nsw.gov.au
