A plaque mounted on a plinth at the cemetery provides a potted history of the cemetery. The majority of the graves and memorials are of the Porter and Stirling families who were early pioneers of North Branch. The oldest headstone is that of a James Adams and it is probably reasonable to assume that it is that of the teacher and postal officer mentioned on the plaque.

In 1986, Ross Stirling prepared a list of those buried in the cemetery including the following unmarked graves : William Camamile d.1915; William Fitzpatrick d.1918; Jack Kay d.1902 (Chinaman); James Kilpatrick b.1855 d.1928; W. S. Porter d.1910; Peter Raffety d.1889; Jim Thompson - no details; Frank Will age 5 years.

The Stirling family are now trustees for the cemetery.

The cemetery is very well maintained and in good condition. There is no sign of vandalism. One headstone has fallen but is still readable. Most of the graves and memorials are surrounded by a steel pipe fence with only a few graves outside the fence. A line of mature trees around the boundary marks the extent of the cemetery.

From Pittsworth take the Pittsworth-Clifton road. About 11 km from Pittsworth, turn right on to Leslie Bridge Road, then right again on to Gunbower Road.
