The Name Eugowra is said to derive from the Aboriginal word meaning "The Place where the sand washes down from the Hills". The town begain in the 1860's on old "Eugowra Station" beside Mandagery Creek. Eugowra is noted for its Bushranger History with names like Frank Gardiner and Ben Hall holding up Gold Escorts close to the Town.

The cemetery is well cared for, with the lawns mowed and numerous Flowers throughout from loving family and friends.
