Greta War Cemetery contains the graves of 20 servicemen who died during and shortly after World War 2. At this time, Greta was the location of an Australian Army training centre. The monuments are all in good condition, upright and legible and the grounds maintained in excellent condition.
Joe Sharman visited the site and made a digital image of all the inscriptions. Joe's pictures may be downloaded from the list of inscriptions for this cemetery. In compiling that list, we referred to the Australian War Memorial online military rolls and to the NSW indices of births, deaths and marriages for additional information.
Greta War Cemetery is in the southern corner of the general cemetery. From High Street (New England Highway), Greta, take Hunter Street north-east for 500m to the cemetery entrance. Lat -32.677917, Long 151.396052
