Quambone General Cemetery
Address: Coonamble Road, Quambone 2831 NSW
The cemetery contains several groups of graves, obviously denominational areas that are, however, unmarked. The cemetery is relatively young; the earliest marker we found was dated 1902. We found no evidence of vandalism and broken glass was no problem. The grounds are in satisfactory condition for a small rural cemetery but, when we visited, the burr problem was extreme.
Jean and I visited the cemetery on 23 March 2005 and made digital images and notes of all visible inscriptions. In compiling this list, we also consulted the NSW births, deaths and marriage indexes to determine hard to read names and dates and for additional information. Images of the inscriptions may be viewed and downloaded from the list of all inscriptions for this cemetery.
