Herons Creek Cemetery seems to have been established nearly 100 years ago with the earliest inscription extant being dated 1914. Although the site appears to have been laid out in portions, they are not marked. In recent times a small lawn cemetery has been established.
Ruth King has contributed the images she made of all visible inscriptions when she visited the cemetery early in March 2010. Her list of inscriptions for this cemetery has been compiled from those images and with reference to the NSW indices of births, deaths and marriages and to the Australian War Memorial's online military rolls for additional information.
Ray cork visited the cemetery in December 2024 added recent burials and updated all inscriptions.
From the Pacific Highway at Herons Creek, turn west onto Herons Creek Road and follow it for 1km to the cemetery entrance. Lat -31.59208 Long 152.724713.
