Tingoora Cemetery contains inscriptions dating from 1912. The monuments are mostly in good order and intact although there is substantial lichen growth on some of the granite stones. A considerable number of the graves are marked with a surname only and it has not been possible to identify these. The cemetery grounds were in excellent condition, with grass cut and trimmed around all the graves when it was surveyed.
Peter and Karen Patterson-Kane visited Tingoora Cemetery in January 2010. Peter made digital images of all visible inscriptions and Karen, assisted by her mother Lottie Andersen, made notes of the inscriptions. The list of inscriptions for this cemetery was compiled with reference to the Queensland indices of births, deaths and marriages and the Australian War Memorials' online military rolls for additional information.
Tingoora Cemetery is on the eastern side of the town. Turn off the Bunya Highway into Tingoora Road and immediately left into Hoares Road. Cemetery Road is the second on the right and the cemetery on the northern side of the road 0.7 km from that intersection.
