Willunga Uniting
St Andrews Terrace
The Uniting Church Cemetery at Willunga was attached to what began as a Wesleyan congregation. The first church on this site was built in 1844 and the cemetery contains plaques dating from just two years after this. The inscriptions found here reflect the strong Welsh presence in the pioneering days of Willunga. The columbarium appears to have been established in the late 1970s. Willunga Uniting Church Cemetery is still in use with quite recent interments listed.
Kellie Bullen has contributed images of the inscriptions in this cemetery that she made in June 2009. She found the cemetery in good order with grass and weeds under control and most headstones intact and legible. The list of inscriptions for this cemetery was compiled from her images and with reference to the Australian War Memorial online military rolls for additional information.
Willunga Uniting Church Cemetery adjoins the church on the corner of St Andrews Terrace and St Judes Terrace, Willunga.
