Albion Park Catholic Cemetery

Address: Tongarra Road, Albion Park 2527 NSW

The cemetery at St Paul's Catholic Church, Albion Park has been in use since 1874. An earlier inscription (1860) relates to a re-interment. Closer to the church building, a modern columbarium has been erected that bears plaques dating from 1994. Currently, an in depth study into the cemetery is being undertaken on behalf of the parish. This has already identified 90 names not on headstones. Further information on the project can be obtained by contacting Wendy Nunan at history@stpaulsparish.org.au

John Arthur visited the cemetery in October 2007 and made digital images of all visible inscriptions. He found the grounds in excellent condition and well maintained. There were no obvious signs of vandalism and several old stones that had fallen or broken at some time had been repaired and remounted.

John's images may be downloaded from the list of all inscriptions for this cemetery. That list was compiled from the images and with reference to the NSW BDM indices and the AWM online military rolls for both World Wars for additional information.
