Pinkett Catholic Cemetery
Address: Pinkett 2370 NSW
David Billington visited and made digital images of the graves in the little cemetery at the Roman Catholic Church of St Joseph at Pinkett in July 2008. He writes:
"The cemetery began as a family graveyard for the Newberries who were big land owners in the district and strong Catholics. All bar one of the graves belong to this family. Sometime in the early 1960's the land with the cemetery was excised and given to the Church and the small church of St Joseph was built adjacent to the graveyard. The graveyard then became a Catholic Cemetery and the last burial there was of a local who was not of the family but who has a lovely grave between two small trees. The church has not been used for many years now but is still owned by the church and is fully intact inside."
David's images may be downloaded from the list of all inscriptions for this cemetery. That list was compiled with reference to the NSW indices of births, deaths and marriages for additional information
