Peak Hill General Cemetery

Address: Newell Highway, Peak Hill 2869 NSW

Peak Hill General Cemetery comprises several denominational portions - Anglican, Assembly of God, Methodist, Presbyterian, Roman Catholic and Uniting. Monuments date from 1890. In the central avenue a cenotaph has been erected on which are inscribed the names those who served in both World Wars. Behind this is a columbarium that appears to have come into operation c. 1990, although there are several earlier inscriptions.

John Arthur visited and photographed every visible inscription in August 2007. He said that the site was in good order, obviously well maintained and that each portion was signposted. However, he found no row markers.

John's images may be downloaded from the list of all inscriptions for this cemetery. That list was compiled from the images and with reference to the NSW BDM indices and the AWM nominal rolls for additional information.
