Dawson River (Taree) Lawn Cemetery

Address: Off Lansdowne Road, Taree 2430 NSW

The Dawson River Lawn Cemetery occupies a large site at the far end of the General Cemetery. The extensive lawn area is complemented by several columbaria and gardens for the placement of ashes and memorials. It appears to have been established in the mid-1960s and now contains about 3,000 inscriptions.

The digital images were made by Paul Fitzgerald who visited the cemetery on numerous occasions between November 2007 and January 2008. The list of inscriptions was also compiled by Paul, with reference to the NSW BDM online search facility and the Australian War Memorial Nominal Rolls for both WW1 and WW2 for additional information.

Paul's images may be downloaded from the list of all inscriptions for this cemetery.
