Goorangoola Anglican Cemetery

Address: Goorangoola Road, Goorangoola 2330 NSW

Ruth King visited, photographed and listed the cemetery at the Anglican Church of St Columba, Goorangoola late in 2007. The small graveyard contains epitaphs dating from the 1880s.

She says, "This cemetery is set in a lovely rural, quiet area in a valley with Goorangoola Creek running the complete length of the valley. The road from Singleton to the Church is tarred but once you turn onto the Goorangoola Road this becomes narrow and there are a few causeways to cross and during wet weather they can become impassable.

"The church and yard is maintained by the local community on a regular basis. There are weddings and christenings also conducted here from time to time, as well as the regular monthly service."

Ruth's images may be downloaded from the list of all inscriptions for this cemetery. That list was compiled with reference to the NSW BDM indexes and the AWM military records for additional information.
