Address: Burrenbilla Road, Cunnamulla 4490 QLD Inscriptions for Cunnamulla Cemetery
Cunnamulla General Cemetery was photographed and listed by John Arthur in May 2007. It adjoins the lawn cemetery and
contains inscriptions dating from 1884. The portions are not marked.
Unlike the lawn cemetery, John was less than impressed by the condition of the monumental portions that are in real need of attention from Council. A visitor attending to family graves whom John spoke to while working there described the cemetery's condition as disgraceful.
Some of the inscriptions were hidden by long grass and have been listed with difficulty; it was not possible to read several others at all. There are some fallen and broken stones but, generally, most of the inscriptions are in good order and legible.
John's images may be downloaded from the list of all inscriptions for this cemetery. That list was compiled with reference to the Queensland BDM online index and military records for additional information.
