Puddledock Goldfield Cemetery

Address: Rays Road, Puddledock 2350 NSW

Information regarding burials at Puddledock Cemetery was initially supplied by Heather Burke. The data was collected for the "Cemeteries/Burials New England Project (2000)" initiated by Professor Iain Davidson and funded by a Research Infrastructure Block Grant, University of New England. The data was collected with the assistance of Arnold Goode (Uralla), Helen Nancarrow and Bruce Cady (Kelly's Plains), Nan Mullen (Wollomombi), Peter Chambers (Saumarez Ponds), David and Beverley Barratt (Tamworth).

In May 2010, Graeme Blair visited and photographed the only three headstones that remain. He says that the cemetery is now "an opened paddock where cattle graze". Its exposure to grazing is probably the reason why only three fenced monuments have survived. These are all in good order and legible.

Graeme's images may be viewed from the list of inscriptions for this cemetery. The list was compiled with reference to the NSW indices of births, deaths and marriages for further information.
