Arakoon General Cemetery

This list of inscriptions at Arakoon Cemetery was compiled by Connie Ball from digital images she took of all headstones and plaques on 26th December 2005.
She says that the cemetery comprises a general section, a columbarium and a lawn section. The earliest inscription she found is dated 1903. Connie remarked that the cemetery is well maintained even though it appears to have no reticulated water supply.
In compiling the list, reference was made to the NSW indexes of births, deaths and marriages and to military rolls for further information. How to find it
From South West Rocks head towards Kempsey and before the first bridge turn left into Arakoon Road. Follow this for approximately 1km, past the waste disposal centre, then turn right into Lighthouse Road from where it is about 200m to the cemetery.
