O'Connell General Cemetery
Address: Mutton Falls Road, O'Connell 2795 NSW
Like all the cemeteries controlled by the Oberon Shire Council, the O'Connell General Cemetery is neat and tidy, grass cut and weeds controlled. As with the main general cemetery in Oberon, the vehicle access points to this cemetery are also kept locked.
The site is divided into three denominational portions - Catholic, Anglican and Uniting - all of which are signposted. There are no row markers but that is probably unnecessary in a cemetery of this size. The headstones are mostly erect and legible and date from 1900 to the current year.
Jean and visited the cemetery on 9 November 2006 and noted and made digital images of all visible inscriptions. These may be viewed and downloaded from the list of all inscriptions for this cemetery. In compiling the list of inscriptions, we referred to the NSW indexes of births, deaths and marriages and to military records for further information.
