Aberfoyle General Cemetery

The information on this cemetery has been supplied by Mrs Dorothy Griffey, who listed all visible inscriptions at this site in 1987. Details of several known but unmarked graves have been added to her original list from information supplied by Council. According to Guyra Shire Council, no burials have taken place at Aberfoyle since this list was prepared.
The cemetery is known to contain burials from 1899 but there is at least one unmarked grave that has not been identified and several others that have not been located. Only a few images are available for this cemetery at the present time and these may be viewed and downloaded from the list of all inscriptions for this cemetery. If anyone is prepared to photograph the cemetery, please contact Reg McDonell.
In compiling the list, reference was made to the NSW indexes of births, deaths and marriages for further information and we are grateful for the assistance of Janette Downey in carrying out this research.
How to find it
Aberfoyle is a village west of Guyra. To reach it from Guyra, take the Guyra Road towards Ebor for 29km, then turn north onto the Aberfoyle Road for 4km.
